Step 1
Lead in:
First, show Ss different kinds of parties and lead Ss to know what a farewell party is.
Then, show a picture of word cloud (文字云圖) and explain what it is. And lead Ss to the learning of the passage.

Read the messages quickly. Why did people write them? listen and match the reason with each message.
Step 3
Read the messages again and answer the questions in 2c.
Then, read the passage as quickly as you can within 2 minutes.
Finally, read it together.

Work in group/pairs.
