Warming up by talking about “be going to”
In our last section, we learned about future plans. And we practiced much about the structure “be going to”. Now we are goin
4、g to learn Section B. First follow me to read the following new words and expressions: fax, few, food, resolution, grade, healthier, instrument, part-time job, harder, learn, letter, lots of, resolutions, money, New Year, next year, make the soccer team.
1a Looking and matching
What’s the date tod
5、ay? And when is New Year’s Day? What do you usually do on New Year’s Eve? Do you promise yourselves to change something about your lives in the new year? The promises you make to yourself at New Year’s Day are called New Year’s Resolutions.
Look at the pictures on page 62! What is the boy doing in

E: He is reading a newspaper.
These five pictures show us the boy’s New Year’s Resolutions.
Read the instructions and connect each of the six sentences with the correct pic

Second let’s read the article again and try to underline the resolutions and shadow the sentences expressing future with going to; Want to be; What, where, when, how questions.
Finally ask questions about the article.
