7、nclude為動詞,意為“包含,包括,包括……在內(nèi)”。 The cat family includes lions and tigers.貓科動物包括獅和虎。 (3)included為形容詞,意為“包括在內(nèi)的”,無比較等級,常用于名詞之后。它和including引起的短語含義相同,但在句中位置不同。 Everyone in the room laughed,the serious manager included屋里的人都笑了,包括那個嚴(yán)肅的經(jīng)理。 3.provide v.提供;供應(yīng);供給 The peasants provide us with gra
8、in and vegetables.農(nóng)民供給我們糧食和蔬菜。 (1)provide用作及物動詞,意為“提供,供應(yīng),供給”,表示供給所需物品以方便使用,后常接名詞或代詞作賓語或雙賓語,并且常和介詞with/for搭配使用。 provide sb.with sth.與provide sth.for sb.意思相 同,均為“為某人提供某物”,兩者通常可相互轉(zhuǎn)換。 Mr Smith provided food for us. 一Mr Smith provided us with food.史密斯先生為我們提供食物。 He also asked other people
9、 to provide you with more money for your research. 一He also asked other people to provide more money for you for your research.他也讓其他人為你的研究提供更多的資金。 (2)provide用作不及物動詞,意為“養(yǎng),撫養(yǎng)”,常和介詞for搭配使用。 Must he provide for his family? 他必須撫養(yǎng)他的家人嗎? He was very poor because hed to provide for fi
10、ve children.他很窮,因為他要撫養(yǎng)五個孩子。 3. continue v.(使)繼續(xù);堅持下去 Other students hope to continue studying after finishing schoo1.其他學(xué)生希望離校后繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)。 (1)continue為動詞,意為“繼續(xù),持久”,指任何進(jìn)程在時間或空間上的延續(xù),強(qiáng)調(diào)持續(xù)小斷、無間歇、無終止;有時也可以指短暫停止后繼續(xù)進(jìn)行。continue后可跟名詞、動名詞、不定式或名詞性從句作賓語。 He continued the work for two days他連續(xù)兩天都在做這項工作。
11、 (2)continue后既可接動詞v.一ing形式,也可接動詞不定式,含義卻不同。continue doing sth.意為“繼續(xù)做 原來的事”,此時可與go on doing sth.互換;continue to do sth.意為“繼續(xù)做某事(另一件事情)”。 He continued watching me.他繼續(xù)觀察我。 After finishing Unit 6,lets continue to learn Unit 7.學(xué)完第6單元后,讓我們繼續(xù)學(xué)第7單元。 (1)go on指尤間歇或有間歇地繼續(xù),或以某種特定方式繼續(xù)。go on to do sth
12、.表示“接著去做另一件事”,指開始做另外一件事情;go on doing sth.表示“繼續(xù)做原來所做的事情”。 After doing his homework,he went on to preview his lessons.做完家庭作業(yè)之后,他繼續(xù)預(yù)習(xí)他的功課。 After a good rest,he went on doing his research.好好休息之后,他繼續(xù)做他的研究。 (2)last意為“持續(xù),延續(xù),維持”,指某事物繼續(xù)存在或某種現(xiàn)象在時間上的延續(xù),說明某一動作要延續(xù)一段時間,因此常與延續(xù)性的時間狀語連用,為不及物動詞,后面不接賓語。 She wont l
13、ast long in that job.那項工作她做不了多久。 4.fix v.修理 You should get somebody to fix the door.你最好請人把門修一下。 (1)fix up意為“修理,安裝,安排,搭起”等,屬于“動詞+副詞”型短語動詞,代詞作賓語時,應(yīng)置于動詞和副詞之間。 The machine doesnt work.Ill have to ask someone to fix it up.這臺機(jī)器壞了。我得找人來修好它。 (2)fix sb.up with sth.意為“為某人供應(yīng)某物”或“為某人安排某事”。 If
14、 you apply at the office,I am sure they can fix you up with a job.如果你向辦事處申請,我確信他們一定會給你安排一項工作的。 指點迷津fix,repair與mend (1)fix表示“修理,組裝”,指把損壞的或不能正常工作的東西修復(fù)到正常狀態(tài)或工作程序中,有時可以與repair互換,一般不用于修補(bǔ)衣物等。 My elder brother often helps others to fix TV set.我哥哥經(jīng)常幫人修理電視機(jī)。 (2)repair指修理構(gòu)造較復(fù)雜的東西或損壞較嚴(yán)重

17、折。 He is clever。but on the other hand。He makes many mistakes.他很聰明,但是另一方面,他出了許多錯誤。 (2)on the one hand一方面,常與on the other hand對應(yīng)使用。 On the one hand,its raining,on the other hand,he doesnt like the movie.一方面,天在下雨,另一方面,他不喜歡那部電影。 (3)on the other hand有時可表示“而,卻”。 Father and mother wanted to go out for
18、a walk, the children,on the other hand,wanted to stay at home and play with their friends.爸爸媽媽想出去散步,而孩子們卻想待在家里和朋友們玩。 3.give out分發(fā) You could give out food at the food bank.你可以在食品站發(fā)放食品。 (1)give out意為“分發(fā),發(fā)放”,…“動詞+副詞”構(gòu)成,同義短語為hand out。 He is giving out the paper to his classmates.他在給他的同學(xué)們分發(fā)紙張。 (2)gi
19、ve out意為“分發(fā)”時,其反義詞組為give in,意為 “交上 ,呈上”:give out還可意為“用完,耗盡”,為不及物動詞詞組,主語是被用光、耗盡之物。 Give your examination papers in after you have finished.你們把試卷做完后交上來。 Our food will give out.我們的食物要吃完了。 (3)give out意為“發(fā)出 某種光、熱、煙、霧”時,與give off同義。 The flowers in my garden give out/off a sweet smell.我花園里的花
20、散發(fā)出 芬芳的味道。 4.cheer up使高興起來 He looks sad.Lets cheer him up.他看起來很傷心,讓我們使他高興起來吧。 cheer up是…“動詞+剮詞”構(gòu)成的動副型短語,它既可作及物動詞詞組 ,又可作不發(fā)物動詞詞組 ,意為“使高興起來,使振作起來”。 Cheer up! You can try again振作起來!你可以再試試。 Shell cheer up if we care for her.如果我們天心她,她會振作起來。 In order to cheer her up,her friends had a party fo
21、r her.為了使她高興朋友們?yōu)樗_了個晚會。 “動詞十副詞”構(gòu)成的短語動詞(1)常見的相當(dāng)于及物動詞的這類短語動詞有:cheer up (使振奮;使高必),clean up(打掃干凈),set up(擺放;建設(shè)),put up(建立;發(fā)布),cut up(切碎),fix up(修理),work out(制定出;算出 ),give out(發(fā)放;消耗盡),give away(贈送;分發(fā)),think over(仔細(xì)考慮),turn over (把……翻過米),hand in(交上),get in(進(jìn)入)等。 這類短語動詞,若跟名詞作賓語時,一般放在短語動詞之后,也可放在中間。 He
22、 took off his coat./He took his coat off. 但代詞作賓語時,賓語一般要放在短語動詞的中間。 (2)常見的棚當(dāng)于不及物動詞的短語動詞有:get up(起床),start off(出發(fā)),come back(回來),get down(下來),hold on(等一等;別掛斷),look out(當(dāng)心;小心),get away(逃走)等。 5.put off推遲:拖延 Well have to put off our visit until next week.我們將不得不把訪問推遲到下周。 put off意為“推遲;拖延”,off為副詞,其后接名詞、
23、代詞或動名詞,代詞作賓語需放在put和off中間。 The meeting has been put off because of the rain.會議因大雨而延期舉行。 Dont put off till tomorrow what you can do today.今天能做的事,不要拖延到明人。(今日事,今日畢。) Please dont put off doing your homework.請你(們)不要推遲做作業(yè)。 【中考連線】 ① They had to ______the 800-meter race because of the bad wearher.

28、 I’d like the windows open at night. 晚上(睡覺)我喜歡開著窗戶。 I’d like this trouble settled at once. 我希望這件麻煩事能馬上得以解決。 (2)辨析:would like與want 二者都有“想要”的含義,但would like較want更加委婉。二者后面都可接“名詞或不定式”,也可接“名詞+不定式”的結(jié)構(gòu),would like在口語中常說成“’d like”,可適用于所有人稱;而want則要根據(jù)人稱和數(shù)的變化而變化。在語言表達(dá)中,二者大多可以互換使用,但在語氣的委婉程度上是有差

Let’s go for a walk after supper. 晚飯后我們?nèi)ド⒉桨? 2.I love places where the people are really friendly.我喜歡去人們真得很友好的地方。 where在此句中為關(guān)系副詞,引導(dǎo)定語從句,并在從句中充當(dāng)?shù)攸c狀語。where引導(dǎo)定語從 do.幫助他人不但讓我感覺心情舒暢。而且我也花時間做了我想做的事情。 (1)本句是由 not only...but(also)…連接的兩個分句。其中,not為否定詞,位于句首時句子要部分倒裝。并且只有連接兩個分句時,才能
