4、hing was ready. The garden looked magnificent - with small round tables and colorful chairs and sun shades. The food and drink was all laid out in the kitchen t ready to be brought out when the guests arrived. At ten past six, Betty went to her bedroom to get ready. She showered and put on her best

5、 silk dress. It was when she was brushing her hair that she realized that her pearls were not on the dressing-table. "Bill," she said, "have you moved my pearls?"
