2019-2020年高一上Unit5《Rhythm》(Lesson 1)word教案 Teaching goals: 1. Learn to summarize the outline of the whole text. 2. Try to grasp the key words and sentence patterns. 3. Understand the use of adverbial clauses. 4. Develop the students’ reading skills, like finding headlines and guessing words. Teaching important points: 1. How to develop the students’ reading skills, like finding headlines and guessing words . 2.Try to use the key words and sentence patterns.. Teaching difficult points: 1. Learn to outline the text by using the headlines. 2. Understand the use of adverbial clauses Teaching methods: 1. Skimming method to find the headlines. 2. Task-based method to finish the teaching assignment. 3. Discussing method to arouse the students’ interest in music and dance. Teaching aids: A puter and a projector Teaching difficult points: 1)Understand the uses of adverbial clauses of time ,concession, cause,result and purpose. 2) learn to outline the text by using the headlines. Teaching methods: 1)Skimming method to find the headlines. 2)Task-based method to finish the teaching assignment. 3)Discussing method to arouse the students’ interest in music. Teaching aids: A cassette, a puter and a projector Teaching procedures &ways: Step I Look at the pictures, Alanis Morissette ( the Canadian rock singer, has won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance) Step II Have you ever watched a concert “l(fā)ive”, on TV or on video? Tell the class about it using the Key Words to help you.(Show some pictures to let the students know what a live concert is.) Key words: the concert adjectives the music, the singing, boring, brilliant, the guitar , the drums exciting, fantastic, poor, quite good, really loud the lighting, the special effects disappointing the stage design extraordinary the sound clear, poor the songs, the words clear, unclear Step III Read the concert review and match the four paragraphs with the titles. Paragraph 1 the start of the concert Paragraph 2 the songs played Paragraph 3 how the audience reacted Paragraph 4 the end of the concert Step IV Read the review again and answer these questions 1) Did the reviewer like the concert? Why or why not? Yes. Because it was the performance of a real star. 2) How did the audience react to the singer? They enjoyed it very much –they loved the concert. 3) What things about the concert were not very good? The concert hall was cold and the sound was sometimes poor. 4) From which album were most of the songs? Jagged Little Pill 5) What feelings did she show in her songs? Anger and love. She has continued giving great performances on stage. continue vi. / vt. eg. He continued his work. continue to do sth. = continue doing sth. = continue with sth. give a performance = put on a performance(上演節(jié)目) -continuous adj. --continuously adj. eg.1) 大腦需要不斷供血。 The brain needs a continuous supply of blood. 2) 雨一刻不停地下。It rained continuously. 6…caused a few problems cause sth. ; cause someone to do sth. ; cause someone sth. eg.1) 是什么引起了那次事故? Grammar: adverbial clauses of time 1.Look at the sentences.What time does the underlined part talk about: the present or the future? What tense is used? I’ll go and pick them up as soon as the class ends. When you finish tidying up your room, we’ll have a cup of tea. We use the Present Simple after when, as soon as, after, before 2.Finish the sentences. ?We’ll make tea when the guests arrive . ?I’ll go home as soon as the lesson finishes. ?I’ll tell you before you leave . ?We’ll have a party when you pass your examination . Adverbial of concession: 1. Look at the sentences: Although /Though she doesn’t enjoy her job, she works hard. Although/Though it is small, the room is very fortable. 2. Finish the sentences: Although /Though he is rich, he is still unhappy. Although /Though he is poor, he is honest. Language in use: Work in pairs and talk about your future plans.
