LESSON 1 英文歌曲欣賞 Teaching aims: Let the students learn some beautiful and classical English songs. Let the students talk about what the English songs about and learn the usage of some phrases or sentences. Practise the students’ listening skills. Teaching tools: Computer Teaching steps: Step 1 Warming up 1. Enjoy the video of a song: “Auld Long Syne” (友誼地久天長(zhǎng) -- 魂斷藍(lán)橋Waterloo Bridge) 2. Ask the students what they think of the song. (What’s the song about?) 3. Introduce the film -- Waterloo Bridge. 4. Talk about friends. (Show some sentences about friends or friendship) Step 2 Listening 1. Listen to a song and fill in the blanks: “Shining friends” 2. Check the answers. 3. Listen to it again and learn to sing it. 4. What do you think of friendship? Friendship is __________ that __________. Friendship is __________ for me to ___________. 5. Enjoy a short poem and more beautiful sentences. Step 3 Using language 1. Life is difficult you can go away. __(n.)__ is __(adj.)__ you can / can’t __________ Make up a sentence: 2. We meant to be your friends. mean to do 意圖，打算 be meant to be 注定是…… mean doing 意味著 我不打算坐出租車, 但因?yàn)樘t了非坐不可。 I didnt mean to take a taxi but I had to, as I was late. 我認(rèn)為成功意味著努力和永不放棄。 I think success means working hard and never giving up. Step 4 Discussion and listening 1. Do you think your best friend is a good student? What kind of a person is a good student? 2. Listen to the MP3 about some views on what a good student is and complete the missing parts “What is a good student?” 3. What did these people say?
