ABSTRACT
With the development of economic, The automobile suspension has become more and more important. It plays an important role in Vehicle Dynamics. The automobile suspension is a multi-body system and the motion relationship among the parts is very complicated, so it brings may difficulties to compute the various characteristics with traditional computation methods. So the simulation of suspension kinetics has been a very important task in the design and development of automotive suspension.
ADAMS is simulation software of mechanical system used most widely in the world. This paper used the Virtual Prototyping Technology software – ADAMS and the computer aided design software UG(Unigraphics), and with the help of ADAMS/View, it established multi-body dynamics model of MacPherson front suspension which is increasing widely used in modern car. Then it analyzed the change of suspension parameter when driving. Then it optimized analyzing according to the wheel slipping demand that is as small as possible.
Using The Computer Virtual Simulation Technology this paper analyzed the MacPherson suspension model. It can aid product design, reduce the R&D period and cost, improve design level and get the best and the most novel products.
